Washing in, washing out, washing in………..the sun is playing hide and seek and the rain can’t decide if it wants to be a sun shower or not. Birds make bell-like sounds and the wind rushes through clear air, leaves of many varied green sway and dip, receiving the wind’s caress as if it were a lover’s touch……….. The house creaks and groans and smoke pours from the chimney as the stove hungrily consumes it’s meal of seasoned wood.
I carry my mind’s burden, it feeds down into my belly which trembles and feels unsure of itself, the cure is action, it is stillness, the remedy is to be here, to be present in nature’s cathedral. Settling in to my fairy cottage I put my airy threads and clothing rich into a cupboard shaped like a triangle, the slim wooden panels sloping down, I clear the space so that I may be in it. The altar is two lovers and a heart-shaped labyrinth, it is rose quartz and carnelian, lapis and rhodochrosite, there is a seed that was planted 18 months ago, ready to open to connection with another.
I am a princess, my bed is enfolded by filmy white that will keep me safe from the blood suckers that crave my sweet, royal blood, although it is not blue, it is red. Above my resting place the ceiling points at the sky with wooden limbs that arch gracefully, giving me a sense of symmetry and the knowledge that all is right in my world. All that I need to do is to see what is right in front of me, and how hard can that be?
I sip calm tea that comes from the Water Dragon, and feel the peace it channels into my beingness, sitting in stillness while the wind blows and my calm is complete, my belly at rest. I am grateful to the flow of spirit, that always guides me to wherever it is I need to be, sometimes the path may be stormy but the sun always comes out eventually and seems brighter for the darkness that has been.
Blessed be, blessed be, calling upon Aphrodite and Lilith, upon Demeter and Persephone, who is also a chook by the way, I am sure the Goddess is honoured to have her name bestowed upon such a pretty little thing! Mother Earth loves all her creatures, even us, we who do not always respect her, thank you mother, thank you Gaia……………blissings to all life.
