Spirit In The Country.

One of my themes or lessons at the moment is to do with making choices about whether to stress when I feel like I am under pressure. My observer, who I talked about in my last post, steps back and sees that getting anxious about what needs to be done is only one option amongst many. When I feel into my body for the location of the stress, I find it in my belly, a feeling of insecurity. Then I think about what it is that has to be achieved and consciously make the choice to trust that it will all happen beautifully. When I do this there is a clear shift in my belly, a sense of letting go and release, leaving behind joy and peace.

Of course there are times when you truly do need to be doing less, find your balance and answer the call of spirit from a hearted place, so that you may flourish even as you do serve. My recent week in bed tells me that I probably do need to do a bit less, tricky when I love pretty much everything that I do. But I do know what I have to do, find a market for the kind of writing I like to do, the Carrie Bradshaw of the Spiritual Realms, instead of “Sex and the City”, “Spirit in the Country”.

Boy_Girl_Love

But it won’t be just about relationships, boy and girl stuff, this is the realm of the Spirit and all subjects are up for grabs, there isn’t anything that isn’t grist for the mill. The deeper levels of consciousness are certainly what invite me to explore within, but if you look at images from space and think about the distances out there it is clear that we have barely scraped the surface as far as space exploration goes. And just having astronauts going to the moon and sending back pictures of the earth, changed the consciousness of humanity, what will a journey to the Milky Way do to our perceptions of self and the world. What will contact with other intelligent life out there do to our sense of who we are, the future is an exciting place to be heading towards.

Deep-Space

So I choose to be excited and confident that everything is going to work out perfectly in divine timing, that means action too of course, it also means lateral thinking to fit everything in. And there is also a need to be very quiet, still longing for that real stillness that you have out in the bush, remembering to breathe in love and to exhale gratitude.

Peace.

A World In Transition.

My next toning circle is going to be on 31 August, so we will be marking the transition from winter into summer, feels like we are jumping into the heat early this year. There will no doubt be some spring like weather too, but for me it’s the summer time that is almost upon us, and time to reap the harvest for whatever we may have sown, over months, years………… I think there might be a big transition occurring on a cosmic level at the moment and it’s being reflected in the lives of many as we respond to that energetic environment. A lot of readings that I am doing certainly reflect the huge shift that is happening in the world, for each of us the actual circumstances may vary but the essence is the same.

The Dumbbell Nebula, also known as Messier 27, pumps out infrared light in this image from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.

The Dumbbell Nebula, also known as Messier 27, pumps out infrared light in this image from NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope.

So the question is how to travel through the shifts and changes with ease and grace, and I guess the first part of that is the act of bringing awareness to whatever is happening in your life. This is where the observer comes in, stepping back and actually seeing what you are doing, the behaviours that are creating what’s going on. This can take practice but it does get easier over time, and once you can see with that kind of clarity there is a sense of liberation that comes with achieving a deeper knowledge and understanding of yourself.

So when the changes stir things up for you bring that clarity of mind to the situation, and ask yourself what might help with moving the energy along and out of your organic system. Keep the energy in your body flowing as much as possible and you will manage smoother travelling on the roads of change, staying grounded in everyday practicalities can also be a huge help in remaining positive about your experiences. And sometimes there are pot holes on the road of your journey and you simply have to surrender to a bumpy ride for a time, just keep your safety belt on and know that it won’t last for ever.

The Heart Of Man…….Reflects The Universe.

I’m feeling much stronger in myself, staying in my heart and finding that it’s much easier to relax and be myself no matter what comes my way. I seem to be a bit obsessed with the heart, both physical and energetic levels, a natural response I do believe in receiving an email from the HeartFire Gateway every day with different aspects of the heart along the path. And there is a sense of doing it along with all the others who have committed to taking the forty-two day journey. There is a power in mass movements and the internet certainly makes it easier for large groups to focus together, Lyn McTaggart is a great example with her large-scale intention experiments.

Lynne McTaggart.

To learn more about the power of intention listen to this video of Lynne McTaggart speaking about the large scale-intention experiments that she has been running, she is the author of a number of books, if you have a particular interest in the subject of intention then check out her book, ‘The Intention Experiment’.

Whenever I think about how to bring the power of my intention into the medium I am flowing with, words or sounds, movement or stillness, witnessed…..alone, I come back to the heart. To embed my intention into the sound when I tone I stay in my heart, not actually hard to do when you are doing a joyful thing indeed! Where you will truly feel the benefits of being in the heart is when you respond lovingly in situations where your buttons are being pushed, no matter what is going on. You can be firm with boundaries but remain gentle with yourself when you stay in your heart, if you don’t have time to meditate why not try simply closing your eyes and breathing in and out through your heart.

“In the Heart of Man the whole universe is reflected, and as the whole universe is reflected in it, Man may be called the Heart of the universe.”

Hazrat Inayat Khan

Try two minutes a day of breathing through your heart, you might be surprised at how profound a brief practice can be if you do it for a period of time, we all have two minutes to spare!

Think about the heart of man reflecting the whole universe as you watch this video, let your eyes be gentle, not sharply focused, and receive all the fractals and the juicy frequencies of being in the oneness, connected to all things………enjoy.

Sacred Economics.

There’s a topic I’ve been wanting to cover for a little while but I’ve been waiting for more time to research. Well you know that time may never come so here come some thoughts of mine on the topic of sacred economics, the notion of a gift society. There is a short film at the end of this post where Charles Eisenstein explains his theory, he has written a book called “Sacred Economics”. It’s essentially telling us why we need to change our ways and it hinges on a shift of perception, money only has value because we agree that it does, what happens if we choose to look at things another way.

Industrial

In the current paradigm nature is seen as a resource that can be turned into ‘stuff’ in order to keep powering the growth of the economy, separation is a key idea that keeps us separate from the natural world, and ultimately takes away our power. If we are separate from each other than community begins to disintegrate without the need for interdependence, yet even those who are doing well in the economy are not really happy or satisfied.

Most of what keeps us alive is not something we have to earn, there is a need to align money with the gifts that people do bring, each and every one. Life itself is a huge gift and the natural response to that is to be grateful. In a Gift Society someone who has more than they need gives the extra to someone else and thereby gains status. It’s a very different way of looking at things and something that has to happen, because the way the world is being handled at the moment is quite unsustainable.

Time for humanity to grow up, we are just coming out of adolescence and boy have we been out of control as teenagers!

Here is a powerful film that explains in 12 short minutes what usually takes at least an entire documentary to summarize: our money system, economy and society are all built along crumbling fault lines leading to destruction, debt and alienation.
And there is another way.
Welcome Charles Eisenstein, author of Sacred Economics.  Soak up some of his wisdom and fresh insights on the beauty and real possibilities of the Gift Economy. It’s time has now come.
You can’t ask for a more inspiring 12 minutes.

The Art Of Non-Conformity.

Don’t you just love it when you are sooooo in the flow that the right person comes along in the perfect moment and gives you the exact piece of information that you never knew you needed until that little shift occurred. It happened to me in a pause from the wild medicine dance that was powered by Balkan grooves in my local community hall. The jigsaw piece was something known as “The Art of Non-Conf0rmity”, and it is giving me heaps of inspiration just from looking at the web site and some blog posts. will buy the book next.

artofnon-conformity

I need to re-invent myself and there actually is quite a bit to work with, just have to decide which bits I want to keep and if there is anything left that still has to go. You wouldn’t expect so with all the shedding I’ve been doing, but one thing this journey has taught me is that there always seems to be more! So what do I love doing that I would be doing anyway so why not get paid for it too, that’s writing of course, but don’t worry I’m not going to ever charge YOU for reading my blog. I’m immensely grateful for those who follow my meanderings, hope you can all stay on for the big part of the journey!

If you would like to check out “The Art of Non-Conformity” by Chris Guillebeau his web-site is http://chrisguillebeau.com/. I am looking forward to having a look at his book, he has a very inspiring way of presenting information and I need the encouragement to get my thinking out of the box. As Einstein said:

We  cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created  them.

“And until further notice, celebrate everything!” St. Germain.

Moving Is The Medicine…….For Me.

In the scheme of balancing out the inner journey, going deeply into exploration of self, there should probably be something about what is going on out in the broader community at this point in the flow of blog. I’m sorry but I can’t get my head out of my navel, is it ok with you if I keep it there for a while, such a lot of movement in me of energies that are full of celebration as I transmute in the golden glowing centre of my being. I am still very much in the flow of the Divine Mother, feeling the Goddess in myself and as I am truly in my receptive feminine, I feel a connection with the male polarity that is quite delicious.

ecstaticdance

A night in the ocean of love helping to create a coming together of good music, great connections, good dancing, and breath-taking generosity, when we do support each other we do it rather well in my town. And I feel that support and love wherever I go, as well as the stimulation of world-class acts like Linsey Pollak and the Unusual Suspects, what an afternoon was had swirling to those Balkan beats!

A space where each and every person is expressing their particular take on the world, some crazy, wacky styles………..and everybody is accepted for who they are, a relief to be able to totally relax into the joy of the moment. And to ride the ecstatic wave that is the journey that my body and the frequencies embark on together, dancing is an important part of my medicine, I shift energies in my body when I dance. And I have anchored the energies created by a large gathering over a couple of days, grounded the energy as I danced………….feeling the entire gathering glowing in the night, the day……the night.

“If you put the body in motion, you will change. You are meant to move: from flowing to staccato, through chaos into lyric and back into the stillness from which all movement comes. ”

Gabrielle Roth, Maps to Ecstasy, p 204.

When you dance ecstatically you are on a deep inner journey, where the stillness is as important as any movement you might make. The intention that you bring to the practice is also really integral to creating a flow that takes you into the next eddy of so-called time and space! Journey well my friends, whatever your medium.

Look for the woman with red hair and a flower in it, black and white top,  dancing at the very beginning of this clip, yes that’s me! The Unusual Suspects are an awesome band, we are so blissfully blessed in this town, enjoy:

Divine Love.

I had a day recently when I felt great compassion for someone who I have very mixed feelings towards, there is a deep connection but to open my heart fully would be not only foolish, but actually dangerous. Sounds a bit dramatic doesn’t it, but I am not exaggerating here, I told the story of being attacked on a psychic level in an earlier post (All The Freaky People: 2 July 2013), it was very frightening and I was sick for four days. I definitely don’t want to go through that experience again, once was more than enough.

So it was a challenge to walk the fine line between compassion and protection, it brought up a lot of fear for me but I managed to navigate my way through, I stayed in my heart but kept my boundaries firm and clear. It wasn’t until the next day I read what the message of the HeartFire Gateway had been for that day (The HeartFire Gateway: 14 Aug 2013), it was all about honouring the Divine Self and asked the question, how will you BE LOVE today. I smiled, because the answer to that question was so very clear, to love our dear friends is the easiest thing in the world, but to love one who has done you harm is much more difficult.

Ma Durga: The Divine Mother.

Ma Durga: The Divine Mother.

Kabir said: “Do what you do with another human being, but never put them out of your heart”, to BE LOVE is to be your essential self, it is who we all are underneath all the stuff. When we are in our hearts we are in our divinity, we are present to life and its infinite possibilities.

This beautiful song from Donna De Lory captures the essence of this feeling of being love, it is about the Divine Mother, an exquisite combination of sacred chanting and pop music, enjoy and feel into your heart!

The Movie Inside.

A few posts ago I told the story of how I shifted some deep feelings that had been triggered in my yoga class (Goodbye Sweetheart: 21 Aug 2013), it was on this occasion a fairly quick process. This has not always been the case for me and even now I come up against resistance to letting go of my stuff, it isn’t the brick wall that it used to be but it can still be a challenge to move through. With the sorrow that I described that was in my heart, I did notice that there was a part of me that wanted to hold on to that feeling.

When dealing with unexpressed emotions from the past it is sometimes necessary to wallow a bit in that sea of grief or whatever it is that is coming up for you. Give the feeling its full expression and then let it go, that’s the theory but in practice it isn’t always quite so easy. I’ve known people who work on themselves constantly who become addicted to the process of bringing the feelings up but can never seem to actually release them. It’s as if these feelings and the story that they are attached to is so much a part of who they are, on some level they fear that by letting go they will lose their identity.

So the actual letting go part, how do you do it? As a kinesthetic person I feel it in my body, bring my awareness to wherever it is in my body, usually in the belly or the heart. Then I might breathe or tone into that part of my body, or I might use a visualisation as I did with the sorrow, seeing it as a mist and putting it into a sparkling bottle. Your imagination is an important tool in any kind of inner work, a key ingredient for creating change, Einstein said:

“Your imagination is a preview of life’s coming attractions.”

Albert Einstein.

Albert Einstein.

You do need to be committed (not to an asylum!) and to be prepared to give yourself focused time to drop into the parts of you that lie beneath the surface. I found it easier to create the time for that kind of thing after giving up television which I pretty much stopped watching twelve years ago. Try shifting your perception of what it is to spend time dropping within, don’t see it as work, it can be lots of fun even as it challenges and confronts. And the clarity and energy and joy that emerges the more that you heal that which is incomplete, the ecstasy of feeling whole and connected to all things, it’s better than any tv show I ever saw.

Give Your Dreams Wings!

I really do appreciate my good health, especially after my immune system has spent pretty much a whole week at the gym! The pleasure in being embodied is even sharper and everything seems to flow, just as well considering the busy week that I will be navigating in the river of my life. The sense of being tuned in to the flow of spirit is also feeling clearer and there is a sense of joy in being alive that comes from being connected to all things.

You know those moments when something pops out of your mouth unexpectedly, it isn’t an expression that you’ve ever used before and you don’t really know where it came from. But for the person you are speaking to it really hits the spot, that happened for me with someone I was counselling and it really made my night! I’d like to share it with you if I may:

Be clear about what you want to manifest.

Then give it over to a higher power and that’s what gives it  WINGS!

wingedheart

It’s the bit about the wings that is a new expression for me, but I think it will now be something I use a lot, for myself and for others. Those moments when we are relaxed and open to possibility are when we truly allow ourselves to become a part of life’s flow, it’s a kind of channeling and often happens when we are focused on something other than ourselves. Or if you are very tired, it’s never a bad thing for my client if I am exhausted when giving a reading, the veils become even thinner then, although I don’t particularly recommend it as a technique for developing your psychic abilities!

The bottom line here is, relaxation is the key to so many things, you can build up to a climax through tension and it can be pretty amazing, but if you find the ecstatic flow in the valley your climax will go for much longer. And while this can obviously apply to sex, it has much broader applications in an inspired and creative life!

Ahhhhhhh………..don’t you just love life!!!!!

Who Owns Life?

I just watched the most inspirational film called “Monsanto: A Documentary on GMO”, we follow the journey of Percy Schmeiser, a Canadian farmer, as he battles this monolithic corporation. What they are doing in the world is wrong, in simple terms they are attempting to control the supply of seeds and therefore the food supply. They are not interested in feeding the world’s hungry or improving the quality of the food we eat, all they care about is power, and they have an enormous amount of influence in a world where money seems more important than justice.

There are many issues regarding GMO crops, probably the most important is that they were never fully tested in the first place, and so we actually have no idea of the consequences of having this unknown factor in the food chain. With research that has been done since then, it’s very clear that GMO crops are not the same or even similar to regular food, the claims that Monsanto have made for their products are out-and-out lies. They do not produce a higher yield and actually require much more in the way of pesticides and chemicals.

Once GMO is in an area, it is impossible for farmers who don’t want it to avoid contamination, then Monsanto moves in and takes them to court because they have ‘stolen’ their plants! Monsanto encourages farmers to dob each other in, thus destroying trust amongst the farmers, and endangering the sense of community that has existed before they came along.

Percy Schmeiser.

Percy Schmeiser.

It’s so inspirational to hear Percy Schmeiser speak, he is motivated to fight his battle not only for himself and his children, but for the future of humanity on this planet. If a bio-tech company can put a gene in a life-giving form and then say that they own it, where does this stop, if they put a gene in a human being, do they then own that person? There are some big questions posed in this film, and it could be overwhelming to see the might of Monsanto doing as it pleases, but this is more than balanced by the inspiration you will feel at what people are doing to stand up for our basic rights.

This documentary shows that we can make a difference, let’s face it, most of the people in the world want good quality food on their plates, clean water to drink and clean air to breathe. I feel very hopeful about the future of humanity, we’ve made a terrible mess but we have the resources to do something about it, and we have people like Percy Schmeiser and his wife!

I hope you enjoy this film as much as I did!
