It’s Darkest Before The Dawn.

If the world is a reflection of me then what an earth was I thinking, time to let go of the old bits and pieces lying around, covered in cob webs and giving succour to spiders and other denizens of the micro world. If I can clean the whole house from top to bottom, this aching weariness may dissolve and I will spiral in joyful flight into a future that is a blank page, waiting for me to paint my picture!

So ’tis time to let the imagination run wild and to lift this particular soul into a heaven on earth, an earthly choir that rivals the heavenly kind, with halos and glowing auras aglow in the soft moonlight. Sounds of laughter and music and celebration abound in this place of peace, combining solitude with connection in just the right balance, like yin and yang, sun and moon………….masculine and feminine.

Bodies filled with vigour and life, taking in the warm sunshine of nature renewed and loved, cared for with the tenderness we offer to the tiny child just departed from the womb, still attached to the placental source of all nourishment. No longer needing to break the softness of entry with blazing lights and harsh first breath, the world has become a safe place for you and me, for us all.

As I move into completeness of self, my light adds to the growing brilliance beginning to light up the world, more and more souls are joining the awakening of spirit, ushering in an age of harmony and love. Even as the darkness may seem to grow and prosper, know that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, not just for me, but for all of us, for all of us…………….

It’s always darkest before the dawn
when your world is weary,
when all is dark,
when dreams die and fade away,
and all of life is stark,
take heart in gentle love,
for she waits in the wings,
and where she walks,
fairies dance and angels sing,
though you cannot see her,
she weaves a silken touch,
leaving footprints in the sand,
sprinkling spells and such,
lighting the dampened corridors,
the dark corners of your mind,
leaving you breathless,
bewildered by her kind,
goodness glints in her eyes,
hope is in her arms,
and all you’ve ever dreamed of,
rests sweetly in her charms.

Love This Moment (It’s all you’ve got!)

“Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see.
Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity.
The question is whether or not we are in touch with it.
We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.”

An amazing sense of having my life back envelops me in presence, how we can stray and become lost without even realising that we are no longer fully here, in this moment. How long have I been gone I ask myself, and cannot find an answer. I guess I must have popped back from time to time, even if it was simply to write these posts, a wonderful exercise in being present!

There are moments of drinking in nature’s gifts of green leaves and sunshine and listening to the bell birds that have happened over and over again. I remember this clearly, so perhaps I’m being a little bit hard on myself, memories of preparing food with love and talking to quarrelsome chooks and squeaking guinea pigs. I have been here, but I’ve also been spending too much time in an imaginary future that never ever had foundations, I knew that on some level but I chose to be in denial for a time.

So now I AM HERE!!!!! In this body, in this beautiful part of the world, in a life full of love and connection, stimulation and passion, and good old-fashioned fun! Enough of the misery and tears, letting go of the pain and the anger, and if there is even the tiniest bit of resentment, scraping it out with ruthless intent. My favourite definition of resentment comes from Carrie Fisher, not only Princess Leia from Star Wars, but also a very funny author, she says that “Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.”

Well I’m not going to waste my time waiting for another person to trip themselves up with their own stupidity, they can do that quite well enough on their own. Mmmmmmm………do I note a little bit of anger in that last statement, ok so I’m not perfect, but I’m working on it already! The best way to let go of all of that is to be in my life as fully as I can, and to have fun no matter what I am doing.

LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN!!!!!!

Doorways To Peace.

The official opening of my local community centre brought even more people to town for a saturday than usual, and a regular saturday is pretty busy. On an autumn day that was hot enough to be high summer the music spilled out on to the pavement, people filling the hall and the cafes, a wondrous spirit of celebration infusing the sultry air.

I sang with my choir in the morning, we are all women and we call ourselves Sweet Chilli, on this particular day we were ‘hot’ chilli in more ways than one. Singing is such a joyful expression of creativity and also of craft, to be on the right note so that yummy harmonies emerge requires a well focused pair of frontal lobes!

I sang, I mingled, I checked out the art market where my mother had her art work, and then off to the Harvest Moon Festival to sing once again with my gorgeous choir. By the time I got home I felt that peace that I was talking about in my last post, the cells of my body tingled pleasantly and I had a sense of being complete.

There are many doorways to inner peace, but having fun, expressing your creativity, and connecting with beautiful people, are particularly nice paths to take. The most important aspect of any of the myriad openings to that precious stillness, is that your heart be engaged and open.

If you find yourself moving out of that heart space, try breathing in and out of your heart for a bit with your eyes closed. As your heart softens and you sink into it, begin to radiate that love out into the world. I guarantee that you will begin to feel much happier and whatever took you away from that place will not seem quite so bad.

Be in your heart, be love……….

Shanti, shanti, shanti…………..

Peace, peace, peace……………..

Here is a brief clip of Sweet Chilli at the Maleny Music Weekend last year, this was my first gig with them!

Sonic Prayers For A New Age.

I tried to have a sound circle in january but the storms, inner and outer, sent me in a different direction, if you want to check out those stories look at the posts after the weekend of the 26th and 27th of january. It’s been an intense time energetically speaking, if you are ready to shed layers of your stuff this is the time to be doing it, the cosmos will be there with its big sparkly broom!

So the first toning circle for the year ended up being on World Sound Healing Day which happens every Valentines Day, 2013 was the eleventh time it’s been held around the globe. There were seven of us in a cosy circle and it was a very gentle energy, I took another class in surrender as a matter of fact. I took everyone on a journey into the earth and invited them to allow themselves to be drawn to a particular part of the globe and spend time in the energy of that place. I asked them to find a sound that embodied that place and we channelled those sounds for our first merging of frequencies.

It was very beautiful and soft but I felt as the facilitator that I could maybe liven things up a bit, not that there was anything wrong with what was happening, but I sensed some restraint in a very subtle fashion and thought maybe I needed to do something about it. When will I learn! Set the space and let the group energy and flow show me the direction, my attempts to make things more lively were not jarring, but in the end I did what I always do, I surrendered and let my heart lead the way.

My heart knew when it was time to move into the ahhhhh sound, our sonic valentine to Mother Earth, and the timing was divine and what happened in our ceremonial space was exquisite. One of the participants had a big release that was incredibly powerful, I realised upon reflection later, that what I was sensing as restraint was probably the BIG stuff that was ready to move in her. She gave us a song to complete our circle and it felt like such a celebration, warm fuzzies all round in the form of wide open hearts!

I run my circles because it is part of my spiritual task on the planet, an important aspect of what I agreed to do before I incarnated. The more that conscious people gather to open their hearts and connect to the larger reality, sending the frequencies of love through the field of life, the more chance that humanity will transform rather than be extinguished.

Personally I’m in favour of the path of the heart, the one that leads to transformation, what choices are you currently making in your life? Are you in favour of extinction or the new golden age?
