Mindfulness Meditation With Soft Hands And A Warm Heart.

meditationTonight is my Beloved’s first meditation class which I am very excited about and looking forward to immensely. Mindfulness is the main theme and a very useful concept for just about anything you could possibly think of. Particularly handy when doing things such as driving a car or operating heavy machinery but the applications don’t stop there! Washing dishes, talking to your boss, explaining to your kids where babies come from, all helped enormously when you are truly present to what is occurring. Being mindful in communicating with your lover may be what creates a long-lasting and satisfying relationship, and help you to avoid unneccessary conflict.

Simply noticing what you are habitually thinking and telling yourself about you and the world around you can be a life changing affair. Of course you will probably find that a lot of your self-talk is fairly negative and that can be a bit discouraging. Sometimes becoming more mindful can seem like not such a good thing when it takes you into such a negative space. But hang in there anyway if you possibly can because there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This negativity is inside you all the time so it is affecting you even when you aren’t aware of it. By bringing it into the light of awareness you are creating the potential for healing.Grumpy

And sitting with uncomfortable feelings is something that I talk about quite a bit on this blog because it is one of my main methods of shifting old patterns. Become mindful of what is going on inside of you and then sit with whatever comes up until it clears. And of course employ whatever methods or techniques that you may have discovered along the path as you transform old energies and beliefs into a wondrous new way of being in the world.

Pets For Vets: Unconditional Love Heals Emotional Pain.

Oops-smiley-faceBIG apologies for being one day late with my post!

I am not ashamed to admit that I cried when I watched the short video telling the story of a wounded man and the dog who saved him from his nightmares. This organisation, “Pets For Vets”, was set up by Clarissa Black who is an animal behaviorist and trainer. PTSD is a real problem not just for war veterans but for victims of crime as well. Women tend to develop the condition more easily than men and are more likely to be exposed to the kind of high impact traumatic event that can lead to PTSD.

christenergyThe impact in the life of a conscious being of feeling disconnected from everyone can be devastating.  The need to belong is a fundamental part of being human, I suspect that when we move beyond being human the concept of belonging will simply be self-evident. And even while still in a body it is possible to move into that kind of inner space in a spiritual way, to be able to do it when in the grips of an illness such as PTSD would be pretty challenging. How much simpler to bring unconditional love and lots of touch and communication into the lives of those touched by intense traumas.

How magic would it be to see this concept used in the treatment of other kinds of illness, there isn’t much that love and connection can’t do when it comes to healing the human body, mind and soul!

Loving Me, Loving You.

loveandmoney

Love and money, these are concerns that clients bring to me over and over again when they come for a reading, we all want to know when we’re going to meet that special someone, or how to resolve issues in the partnership that’s going through difficult times. It comes down to support in the end, both with love and with money, the search for someone or something that will quell all the fears or doubts that stem from a lack of trust in self.

I think I can safely say that when it comes to the subject of love I’m doing very well indeed. Oh but I hear you say, you’re single aren’t you, how could you possibly say you’re successful in love if you’re not in a happy relationship. If that were the true benchmark then lets face it, the list of those who are really doing well would be woefully short, lots of single people out there and unhappy couplings. At least the pressure to stay in an unhappy relationship  is not what it used to be, but there is little or no education that really addresses the most important aspects of being connected to ourselves and to others.

You may not be able to do much about the issue of education in the larger community, but there’s nothing to stop you setting out on your own journey of discovery. Workshops, classes, doing your own research, seeking out therapists who can help, there are as many avenues and options these days as there are people. Whatever your method you will find that your world becomes a richer and richer place as you open your heart, loving self leads to better communication with others and there is a snowball effect that means everybody wins.

Of course I am still very much a work in progress in this department and I don’t have all the answers by a long shot, but I am on the journey doing the best I can with what I’ve got. If you would like to read about my big shift into self-love check out my earlier post “Rebirth”, 30 January 2013. Now when it comes to money I have some work ahead of me but that will have to be for another post, in the meantime lets all BE LOVE and BE HAPPY!

Blissings to you all!

Be The Heart Of Conscious Community.

What is the depth of communication that occurs in social media, can it be a tool for creating conscious and empathic groups, supporting each other in a variety of ways. Certainly for me there is a stronger focus on my local groups when I use Facebook, as well as connecting directly with individuals, sharing information and inspiring each other. I am fortunate to be connected to many people in my local community, whatever I need is there if I have the sense to ask for it, there is always support for me here, love and acknowledgement. Add people in other parts of Australia and some around the world and we are talking a lot of hearts all being connected, being the heart of conscious community.

That’s the theme for the Joining Gathering which runs over the Equinox weekend coming up, I have been called elsewhere this time but to experience a beautiful honouring of the masculine and feminine, and all the other deepening experiences on offer, is a beautiful thing to do if you are drawn to it. http://thejoining.com.au/  I’m going to be busy working with songlines as well as my personal journey, looking forward to this coming Equinox very much indeed. I was told not long ago by a psychic that I was going to become more witchy as I got older, I have to confess she was very accurate, in fact so far she’s been spot on about an awful lot of things.

So in my way of doing things social media plays a positive role in creating and connecting my community, like any useful tool it depends on how it is utilised and mindfulness is so important. Many of the people I connect with in the virtual realms I see in my daily life at different times, but there are some that I have never physically met who I actually feel just as close to. The particular group I am thinking of came together out of an online course with Jean Houston and so we have a similar vision and were all drawn to each other in the virtual world that was created for our interaction in the course.

So don’t be afraid to work with technology, it can be a very intuitive process and I have seen clearly how it can bring ordinary people together to create positive change in our communities. Bring on the New Age of spirit and matter, body and soul, time to become future humans!

Everyone Is A Poem.

Connections, communication………community, all most important aspects of humanity’s evolution into the next stage, the future human. I am seeing that in myself here as I move more strongly into community, the hermit will always be an important part of me,  but there’s no reason why one can not have both in the right balance. I have a powerful need to spend time in my own space, but I also share the need that all people have to connect with others, especially those who are like-minded.

Avatar.

Avatar.

When I work on the crisis phones I talk to so many lonely people, so many of us never really have the opportunity to be heard, to have someone listen, and to see us as we truly are. I particularly loved the greeting of the alien race in Avatar, “I see you”, in that context the meaning is to see into the soul of the other being. How often do you actually meet the eyes of the person you are talking to, would it make you uncomfortable to gaze into those windows of the soul, not just with a lover, but to see the God or Goddess in every person you meet? Michael Frante says that “Every single soul is a poem, written on the back of God’s hand”, I feel such joy when I put that song on and dance to it, he is one of those poets and musicians who can take you into that ecstatic space very easily. Check the song out in this live performance in Sydney in 2010.

Of course I don’t always remember to bring that perspective to every encounter, if I’ve been triggered I may even have gone unconscious and be having trouble looking at the other person. That’s a rare event thank the Goddess, and the more that I can bring a sense of wonder and openness to every step of my path, the less likely I am to cause suffering to myself or anyone else. There’s been enough suffering on this planet, time for the  world to party and to share not only the joy, but the resources too!

As Saint Germaine always said, “Until further notice, celebrate everything!”
