Moving Haze: Taking Care Of Myself.

This is going to be a very short post, I’ve just spent two days moving out of our bush paradise back into town and I’ve hardly stopped all day and now it’s time to take care of myself. I don’t want to re-blog something without some kind of good reason so I decided to just be totally honest with you and make this really brief and to the point.

There are times when you have to let go of things you would like to achieve in order to take care of yourself, on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, whatever you may need. Yes I could have had a post prepared early but it didn’t happen, if you stick with me and read future blogs they will come from someone whose brain is actually functioning. I promise you it will be fun, informative and sometimes even a bit profound.

But for now farewell and goodnight, sweet dreams to you all, or sweet sunshine depending on your time zone!

Cycles And Shifts Bringing Us Closer Connection.

moontime connectionHello and yes I will continue the story of the commoner princess by and by, but for today’s sharing I want to talk about different states of consciousness, a topic that has fascinated me for years. For women it is probably easier in some ways to comprehend the ways in which we shift from one state to another, at least in theory. We have a monthly shift which is our moon time, and even though women in western culture are not taught to value this phenomenon, it is an opportunity to become more sensitive and able to perceive inner transformation.

It’s not often I have anything that could be described as PMT but I’ve felt my menstrual flow on the way for the last few days and found myself over sensitive to physical touch and very emotional. My Beloved and I ended up going from passion to me being held as I felt almost like crying, distressed but for no perceivable reason. He was rather excited but could feel where I was and accepted with great grace that I had things moving and he needed to hold space for me rather than make love.

moontime sacred woman

The next day I watched lots of “Charmed” episodes and didn’t do too much and my Beloved was there when I needed him to be and I was left to myself as needed, quite perfect! A perfectly normal situation for many couples, can you see how ignoring the feminine shift into pre-moon time could create arguments and separation, imagine how often that has actually happened to people. Recognising cycles and accepting what they bring to us, responding to what is in the present instead of what we think should be there, here is an approach that can bring two people closer together. There is nothing more attractive than someone who really gets you!

Shape-shifter, shaman, prophetic visionary, healer. Oh, hello everything that I desire to embody, and do so, even as I am a little bit freaked out/scared/wonder why I couldn’t've just been some ‘more normal’ instead. http://www.janeofardis.com/tag/goddesses/

Of course tuning into cycles is going to be an asset whether you are in a relationship or not, it can help you to be in the energetic flow of your life, wherever that journey may be heading for you.

Raising Awareness For Social Transformation.

march in march brisbaneI don’t often talk about politics on this blog, my focus tends more to be on consciousness itself and the potential for transformation, without this first step the necessary changes can’t really happen anyway. But here in Australia we just had at least 100,000 people marching to display their vote of no confidence in the current government, an event that has been largely ignored by the mainstream media. From what I can gather on social media the protests were peaceful and full of ordinary everyday people who are unhappy about a government that gives to the rich and takes from the poor, that treats asylum seekers as if they were criminals.  If I hadn’t been working I would have been there myself.

And here is footage from another capital city, Brisbane: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDMFYA1F4hw#t=15

Here is an article from someone who was at the protest the next day at the nation’s capital Canberra: http://www.independentaustralia.net/politics/politics-display/canberra-march-in-march-social-media-made-flesh,6288

For me the path continues to be working with shifts in consciousness, mine own and to be a support for others when I have the opportunity, this will create change but I do believe that we also need the people out there doing the protests It’s just like the way you might approach the healing of a physical issue in your body, attending to the spiritual, emotional and mental causes may lead to a complete return to health. But along the way you may need to have particular herbs or physical exercises or stretches for the body, all of the necessary steps are important.

physical emotional spiritual

For change in our society to occur there needs to be a fundamental shift in consciousness and that can only come from the raising of awareness. This increase in awareness can come from many different sources and the most important part happens deep within the soul itself, but the triggers can be events like these marches that have happened all around the country.

May the Shift come soon, with peace and harmony walking hand in hand.

Tuning Into Your Inner Road Map: Finding Perspective.

spiritual energyIn order to clear, things have to get stirred up in the first place, sometimes in ecstatic spaces and sometimes with a fair bit of discomfort. It’s all a part of the process and the more you are able to accept ‘what is’, the less you suffer. Easy to say not always so simple to put into practice, I try to remember to surrender and let the energy keep moving, breathing into it seems to help.

The Inner Neural Workout!

The Inner Neural Workout!

There’s always a lesson too, a map to be read in our cells of emotional, spiritual, mental and physical fields, all holding the stuff of which we are made. Learn to be a reader who can tune in to the finer vibrations, it enriches life in ways beyond imagining as you allow yourself to be there in full.

Being present in all my fullness when there is fear in my belly is pretty intense, it helps to bring the light of awareness into the picture. In that moment I know that however dominating that fear and tension may be, that  it won’t last forever. I think of being in my lover’s arms and melting into that security and it becomes a bit easier to stay with that discomfort in my being.

Getting a bit of perspective can also help if you are ever feeling a bit overwhelmed by what life is throwing at you, when you can see the kind of life that some people live your own problems can seem so much smaller. This video from Carl Sagan’s TV show “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage” certainly puts things in a very sharp perspective, enjoy:

Pleasuring Into Ecstasy: Slow It Down Sweetheart!

PinkOshoFlowerPoemYou know there are some blogs out there that really keep it simple and focus on one big project, like cooking your way through a famous french recipe book over a whole year. And then there’s someone like me, exploring every aspect of consciousness she can send her awareness into, moving fluidly and sometimes for no apparent reason from one project to another, and then back again!

Well I’m back to where I had got to in “Tantric Orgasm For Women” and really enjoying being able to read and find that sometimes an open body and heart is as good as any book. But it is an excellent text-book and very inspiring too, relaxation is the key and I can attest to the value of letting go of tension and generally slowing everything down. So you do need to be able to trust your Beloved, even then you may be holding tensions you are not aware of, so a safe space to be together in is crucial, and that is emotional and spiritual space, not just the physical.

soulmates

The more that you let go, the more you can allow the body to guide the experiential navigation of two energies coming together, you become more sensitive to subtle energy, sensuality is heightened, which can only be a good thing! And anything that you do comes out of a place of non-attachment.

“Action is an overflowing of energy; action is in this moment, a response, unprepared, unrehearsed. The whole existence meets you, confronts you and a response simply comes. The birds are singing and suddenly you start singing-it is not activity. Suddenly it happens. Suddenly you find it is happening, that you have started humming-this is action.”

The Right Kind Of Crazy!

Be careful what you ask for……..for the Gods may give it to you, how many times have you heard that phrase, one could also say be careful of your thoughts and language, because your brain will take it as the truth. When you consider some of the internal dialoguing that goes on for many of us, the logical outcome is a life that has nothing to do with what we really want in our lives. I’ve written on this subject before when I talked about manifesting a relationship in my life, that was “Seducing the Frontal Lobe” on April 9 2013.

I am now going to humbly admit that I didn’t do what I said I would, if you were reading my posts in the time following you will be aware that I was being triggered in HUGE ways and so was on a bit of an emotional roller coaster. Although in a way I was working on my stuff around relationship, just not in the context of being ‘in’ a partnership, the upshot of it all is that a lot of what was in the way of me allowing myself to receive love was cleared away in that process.

You can read about how re-wiring the brain can create an illness like Bulimia by checking out Shaye’s recovery website, this basic principle can be applied to the creation of any habits, good or bad.

But as far as changing the neural pathways by fooling the brain into thinking that what I want in my life is actually here now, that I didn’t do. To briefly recap, the brain will believe anything that you can imagine strongly enough, if you look at an object a particular part of the brain will fire up, imagine looking at the same object and that part of your brain will light up just as if it was actually there. Joe Dispenza talks about this in “Evolve Your Brain” and he reckons you need to spend an hour a day creating your vision, using all your senses.

I’m currently doing a course that is based on the same information, it is about going into an Alpha brain state and then using visualisation techniques to create a picture of what it is that you want. Of course all the theory in the world is worth nothing if you don’t do something with it, that’s the point I find myself at in this moment. I need very much to make certain changes in my life if I am to continue as a person on this planet and I need to change the way I do things if I want to get a different result. You might remember my favourite definition of insanity, doing things the same way and expecting a different outcome.

Let’s hope I’m the right kind of crazy in this case! More on this subject in my next post, love to you all until then!!

Here is an interview with Dr Joe Dispenza, I spent a day listening to him talk once and he is not only inspiring but also a lovely and very humble man, enjoy!

An Extraordinary Ordinary Life.

This is the age of the quick fix, feeling a bit down and low in energy? Why that’s easy to solve, there are plenty of advertisements out there telling you how to fill that empty space, everything from the latest i Phone to food and alcohol, tv programs, the list is endless. But have you noticed that this constant need to acquire stuff doesn’t actually seem to produce happiness, you would imagine that wealthy people must live in a state of ecstasy according to this credo but the fact of the matter is that it just isn’t so.

As long as we search outside of ourselves for meaning we are going to continue to come up short, the true journey begins within, and the outcome is not about fixing anything.

“So, the first point to make about care of the soul is that it is not primarily a method of problem solving. Its goal is not to make life problem-free, but to give ordinary life the depth and value that come with soulfulness”

Care Of The Soul, Thomas Moore, p4.

I made the decision about 20 years ago that I needed to start integrating my spiritual life into my everyday living, otherwise why bother? It’s been a long journey in that period of time and I’m still very much a work in progress, but I think I can safely say that there have been huge improvements. I learned very slowly over time to love myself as I am, and found methods to let go of the emotional charge held in my body that had me reacting to life’s events rather than responding. If you’ve been with me for a while then you’ve heard quite a bit about all of that.

Time now for a fresh start on this journey, I spoke a few posts ago about my sense that I have come to the end of a chapter, and that’s still very much how I’m feeling. There is clearing out of anything that no longer serves me in this process, but even more there is a sense of building and creating the new chapter that is opening up, not only for me I believe but for the whole of humanity. I’m going to be a student over the next few weeks with the focus very much on this subject, so stay posted for any useful insights that may come my way!

“…..the goal is a richly elaborated life, connected to society and nature, woven into the culture of family, nation, and globe. The idea is not to be superficially adjusted, but to be profoundly connected in the heart to ancestors and to living brothers and sisters in all the many communities that claim our hearts.”

Care Of The Soul, Thomas Moore, Introduction: p xviii.

Coming Out Of The Fog.

What with being sick there hasn’t been a lot of thought process going on in this head of mine, maybe I’m getting better because I’m beginning to have some thoughts on what being sick has been all about. There are layers to this but to start with lets look at the physical body, this is something I’ve been pushing pretty hard even though I do my best to give it good nutrition, exercise and rest. I don’t enjoy being ill, but there has been a part of me that has enjoyed the fact that I haven’t been able to do anything much for the last four days.

I love pretty much everything that I do, but it’s a lot to juggle and only some of it brings in money to support me, which is then challenging in terms of saving up for things like holidays! So there is a fundamental change still on its way, but in the meantime I am determined to continue to refine the way that I support my physical body. My intuition has led me to mucuna pruriens, a medicinal herb that has a huge range of healing properties. If you require empirical evidence then better stop reading now, this is an intuitive journey for me as I feel into what’s right for my body.

You can hear what David Wolfe says about this herb at the end of this post, the part that got my attention was that it is a natural source of L-dopa which turns into dopamine, a neurotransmitter that buffers us against stress. It can also help to improve eyesight and with my schedule I really don’t have time to do my natural vision improvement exercises. So I found a source on e-bay that feels like it’s the right one for me but the seller is away, I will wait till they come back and then I will embark on a journey with this herb and see where it takes me.

There is some huge movement occurring on spiritual, emotional and psychological levels of my being at this time, and I will be talking about this in future posts. But for now, baby steps as I come out of the fog of illness, with any luck some therapeutic dancing tomorrow night if I am well enough, dance the last of the cold germs out into the night!

In this video, Superfoods Nutritionist David Wolfe passionately explains why he considers Mucuna Pruriens to be one of the most impressive, healing herbs on planet earth.
It is the highest (known) natural source of L-Dopa, which enhances dopamine, which makes us feel stable, happy, and confident. It has healed people from long-term stimulant abuse, repairs poor eyesight, improves hearing, enhances reproduction and hormone balancing in women, along with many other benefits. We only wish we’d heard of it sooner!

Veggies With Zing!

People in the mainstream think of healthy eating as having plenty of fruit and veggies, good in theory but how much nutrition are they actually getting from the food that they eat. Well if it isn’t organic then it’s full of nasty chemicals that are toxic to your body, but even if it’s one of those hardy plants that doesn’t need much in the way of pesticides, chances are it offers much less nutrition than it would have 100 years ago. Soils in most parts of the world have become depleted in minerals, which has had a direct effect on the quality of the food that we eat.

fruits-and-veggies

If you buy organic then you are generally getting a higher mineral content, but if you grow your own and add generous quantities of rock dust to the soil, you end up with the best possible quality, add in love as you work the garden and the food you eat from it is going to make your body zing! I am so looking forward to settling down and having a veggie garden, by the time that happens I will have so much wonderful information I will be able to create a garden that supports me to live to at least 120, maybe even longer. There are places in the world where people routinely live to 100 or more, and one of the things they have in common is that the soil is highly mineralised.

There are many different ingredients to having a long life in good health, mental, emotional, spiritual and physical are all important, and need to be in the right balance with each other. When it comes to the physical the food that we eat is high on the list of priorities, and while I do believe our minds are powerful enough to transform the effects of eating low quality food, why not make less work and just give your body the right stuff in the first place!

Check out this interview with Don Weaver who is talking about the remineralisation of the soil using rock dust, a web site that he recommends for more information is remineralize.org

Do you know about the movement to remineralize the earth?
The mineral content of our food has gone down drastically since 1910, but the solution for your personal garden is very simple: you just add rock dust.

Wham Bam Thank You Mam!

I toyed with the idea of scrapping my last post, not sure it quite hung together, but then I decided it was probably reflecting me exactly where I was in that moment, once again I find myself imperfect! There I was saying how nice it was to be clear for a change, and then wham bam thank you mam, huge amount of stuff on the move, deepest loss and abandonment, full of such sadness. I think it is something you could describe as a moving feast, sometimes the dishes are good and sometimes they are flavoured with regret, grief, or anger.

David Bowie: he played out his 'stuff' for all to see, some great music came out of that process!

David Bowie: he played out his ‘stuff’ for all to see, some great music came out of that process!

I am certainly getting clearer and clearer on what I do and do not want in my life, even when the emotional storm leaves you feeling like you’ve been hit by a truck, there is a sense of clarity that comes as the storm begins to clear. That feeling that so much has been washed away, there is a new world to explore where nothing is quite the same anymore. There is a choice, you can yearn for the old way of being, or you can look with excitement to a whole new perception of the reality around you. If I am being truthful about myself here, and I really do try to be very honest with you all, I probably go between those two states, with the new way gradually gaining more power and momentum until you find yourself positively humming in that direction!

It’s a great theory and I do practice it, although in practice it might not always be so easy to see the pattern of back and forthing as it is happening. The main thing is to keep releasing anything that isn’t serving you, and if it keeps coming up then keep releasing it, repetition being an important part of change. And let your heart draw you in the direction of the new reality that is opening up to you, it will know what to do if you allow it to do what it does best, embracing and surrendering, loving all things, seeing the life force in everyone………….

Love is all you need…………..blissings.

This is kind of gratuitous but I thought of this David Bowie song when I remembered the phrase, wham bam thank you mam. He is so young and so utterly beautiful, in such an androgynous way, must have been so many boys and girls in love with him then, me being one of them, enjoy!
