Focusing The Positive.

Life is good, of that I have not the slightest doubt, in the very heart and soul of my being I know that the corner has been turned, that I am on the homeward lap and it isn’t actually possible to stray off the path, for where else could I possibly be! Yet my day has been a journey through many different emotional landscapes, when you are challenging the very bedrock of your foundations there tends to be a response from the aspects of self that are terrified of dying.

The_grim_reaper

The kind of environment you inhabit is very important at times like this, I connect as much as I can with others who have a positive outlook on life, and who I can truly be myself with. But that isn’t always possible, and I was reminded today in a meditation by my higher self that it is common sense to put in energetic protection in order to not be taking on other people’s stuff. Nellie Nobody is very keen to take on the slightest possible suggestion that another might not approve of the measures I am taking to change my life, and so brings up whatever insecurities that may still be lurking inside.

And I bless her for her anxiety, she is helping me to shed anything that might get in the way of my personal golden age unfolding with grand fanfare and ecstatic celebration. When that job is over for her she can be in charge of making sure I never lose my humility, I have encountered very few people who I would truly consider to be masters, but the one thing they have all had in common was the ability to be completely ordinary.

This is one of those people, Master Zhang Hao, an amazing teacher based in Sydney, Australia: http://www.chihealing.com.au/index.html

So don’t be too hard on the parts of you that are trying to hold you back from being fully in your power, its more about redirecting their gifts rather than shutting them down. When I can be consistent in my focused intention of creating my new life, Fay Fairytale’s wondrous imagination is probably my greatest ally, if she’s wasting time on unproductive fantasies I have only myself to blame!

It’s from Gabrielle Roth the incredible dance shaman that I have borrowed these particular terms for the different parts of myself, I have a feeling that I’ve shared this quote with you before but it sums up the theme of this post so nicely I’m going to share it again:

“Life is sacred. Life is art. Life is sacred art. The art of sacred living means being a holy actor, acting from the soul rather than the ego. The soul is out of space and time and hence always available, an ever-present potential of our being. It is up to each of us to celebrate and to actualize our being and to turn each meal, conversation, outfit, letter, and so on, into art. Every mundane activity is an opportunity for full authentic self-expression. The soul is our artistic self, our capacity for transforming every dimension of our lives into art and theater.”

Maps to Ecstasy, Gabrielle Roth, Nataraj Publ, Novato, CA, 1989.

So lets hear it for the ordinary and the everyday, may we swoon over the dishes and make love to the earth as we pull up the weeds!

Here is a very famous death scene from Monty Pythons’s Meaning of Life, enjoy!

The Green Heart Zone.

When I hear someone like David Wolfe talking about the latest super food he recommends, I often wonder how people on very low incomes are supposed to afford this kind of product. If you’ve ever looked at David’s web site you will know that what he has on offer is no doubt very high quality indeed, but very expensive, for someone who is feeding a family prohibitively so. The same goes for organic food too, sure you don’t have to eat as much because you are getting more nutrition, but it’s still too expensive for those who are not earning fairly high incomes.

So it’s nice to see a company creating a product that is free to all, and has the added bonus of actually creating renewable energy while it’s being used. Enter TGO- The Great Outdoor Gym Company, you could mistake it as a kid’s playground from a distance, but up close the gym they have created in Hull in the UK is a marvel and looks like just as much fun as you might have in a playground. You can weigh yourself, see how tall you are and help yourself to the hand bike or cross trainer at any time of the day or night, you also get to see how much power you are creating!

TGOpeoplegym

Yes that’s right, these exercise machines generate power as they are used, which goes into the local grid, apparently the average person will create between 50-100 watts of electricity, even more if they are very fit. So you can help save the planet at the same time that you’re improving your health! This would have to be one of the coolest ideas I’ve come across in ages, if we had one in my town it might even help me to get that cardio fitness that is the one element lacking in my personal program.

Have a look at this video, I suspect you will be as excited and inspired as I was:

There’s Always More!

I can feel myself coming more strongly into my power, the current shift is not always comfortable but already beginning to yield positive results. When you are juggling a lot of balls simultaneously even seemingly small things can have an incredibly profound effect, and I’ve just reduced my stressors in the most delightful fashion! There was a stall at my regular sunday market with lots of belly dance gear, brightly coloured rich fabrics and sequins gleaming in the sunshine, and lo and behold, there was a black skirt with a HUGE amount of fabric in it. Enough to be perfect for my flamenco costume, add in a couple of scarves and some head pieces and I pretty much have the outfit covered.

See what tresure I found!

See what tresure I found!

May not sound like much to some of you but it’s a weight off my mind, when you are in or on the edge of overwhelm, little things can really make a big difference. So if you do have a lot going on, look for anywhere you can reduce the causes small or large, there are times when shifting your perception cannot change the fact that you are simply doing too much, and so shedding becomes a necessity.

fullofstress

After the last week and a half of being sick with a cold and then the gastro bug, I feel thoroughly cleaned out, and the cold is still hanging around so obviously I still have a bit to go with that particular process. The best response I can come up with is to keep going with what I am doing and see what guidance comes my way, whether it be through my own channeling or someone else offering inspiration. There is much more to tell about my growing empowerment and seeming hiccoughs on the way but that will have to wait for another post, as I once famously wrote in a performance piece some years ago in Sydney, THERE’S ALWAYS MORE!

More LOVE,  more AUTHENTICITY, more PLEASURE……………. More Life to be lived…………….Bring it on I say!

The Winds Of Change.

Here in Australia we have a new government that seems to be in serious denial of issues such as climate change, methinks that such a government is probably not going to be very supportive of the renewable energy industry either. One could get depressed over this kind of ostrich behaviour, but luckily there are things going on in the wonderful world of human inventiveness that gives one hope in this fossil fuel dominated culture.

Ostrich-man-head-in-sand

There are a growing number of windfarms around the world, with the biggest being found in China and America, the windmills are huge and there are a lot of them so they can only be placed in rural areas. They’re doing a great job of providing energy, and are an important part of the renewable energy industry, but what if you could have your own personal wind generator in your home, and I’m talking about cities and suburbs here.

The Windspire.

The Windspire.

Enter the Windspire, instead of propellers they have vertical airfoils and stand 9 metres high, according to the manufacturer they can produce 25-30% of the power needs of a household. Apparently they got the idea from an Egyptian structure that was being used 3000 years ago to grind wheat, it just goes to show, there’s nothing new under the sun, even in the area of technology! The Windspire is quiet and it can be connected via wireless to your computer so you can keep track of how much power it is generating.

I had a quick look to see what people are saying about this product, and it seems that the claims of the makers are not necessarily as good as they would like us to believe, but Mariah Power is one company that is trying hard to improve by going through rigorous independent testing. http://www.motherearthnews.com/renewable-energy/windspire-performance.aspx#axzz2j6xqpNY7

Here is a short clip from the Mariah Power company about the Windspire, whatever the practical realities it’s very inspiring to watch, and one hopes that it will be part of the new and cleaner world that simply must arrive soon, if we are to survive on this beautiful planet!

Hemp: Reefer Madness.

ReeferMadness

And now for a little trip down memory lane, not that I am old enough to remember the 1930’s but I do remember laughing at “Reefer Madness”, a great example of a very American kind of insanity. There were many reasons to wage a war on hemp, according to this article it had a lot to do with bureaucracy justifying its existence and grabbing more power. Now why does that sound familiar, look at your local council and you can probably find some examples that seem awfully similar, time to do things differently in the very rational hope of creating new outcomes.

http://www.britannica.com/blogs/2010/10/reefer-madness-and-the-prohibition-of-marijuana-in-the-united-states/

In America it is still illegal to grow hemp, even as an industrial crop which doesn’t actually have enough THC to get anyone stoned anyway, even if that was the real issue. In Europe they are growing hemp for all kinds of things, check out my post “The House That Breathes”: 9 October 2013, to read some more about that, hemp is a very sustainable crop and to ignore those sorts of benefits is madness indeed, one that doesn’t require drugs to fuel it. Of course many people end up on a toxic cocktail of pharmaceutical drugs, some of which probably shouldn’t even be on the market, profits come first and so we ignore the potential benefits of medical marijuana. Here is a trailer to the 1932 film, “Reefer Madness”, propaganda of the highest order!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1jB7RBGVGk

But that’s another post, you see the thing is I can go on and on about hemp and marijuana and the positive things that can come from proper cultivation and use of these ancient substances. And everything else that falls into that category, look to Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic philosophy for knowledge of nature’s pharmacopeia, and there are no doubt even now plants we haven’t discovered yet that may hold the cure for all major illnesses.  Many of the pharmaceutical drugs are modelled on what scientists find in nature, and nature can often help us with little or no side effects, so lets cut out the middle man!

More posts on hemp to come!

The Even Road.

I don’t know a lot about astrology but I am pretty sure that I am still very strongly under the influence of the New Moon in Libra, with the scales being the symbol for this sign balance is a key aspect and I am feeling extremely calm. It is almost a bit eerie as I move along so evenly, it isn’t indifference, in fact it’s easier to appreciate the pleasures because there is nothing much attached to them. To find inner peace you need stability, says the Dalai Lama:

“………the practice of Dharma, real spiritual practice, is in some sense like a voltage stabilizer. The function of the stabilizer is to prevent irregular power surges and instead give you a stable and constant source of power.”

It does feel a bit strange, I am accustomed to a tad more drama even just within my own inner world. I will be taking this space to my second holistic counselling session which will be very interesting indeed, of course I only have to drop in a little bit to start finding areas to work on, life isn’t perfect and may never be but I think I can safely say that I have been firmly on the road to happiness for some time now. Maybe I can have a session that is less focused on letting go of the stuff that holds me back and is more about pure creation in that newly vacated space.

That thought has a ring to it that I rather like, I can feel an answering response in my belly and my heart and they are emanating a gentle excitement. In the meantime I will do my best to continue to enjoy my wonderful life, eating, dancing, writing,  listening to great musos play, and spending time with me, doing not very much at all, must spend time watching the cat who is a zen master at the art of making important business look like sleeping a lot!

Who Owns Life?

I just watched the most inspirational film called “Monsanto: A Documentary on GMO”, we follow the journey of Percy Schmeiser, a Canadian farmer, as he battles this monolithic corporation. What they are doing in the world is wrong, in simple terms they are attempting to control the supply of seeds and therefore the food supply. They are not interested in feeding the world’s hungry or improving the quality of the food we eat, all they care about is power, and they have an enormous amount of influence in a world where money seems more important than justice.

There are many issues regarding GMO crops, probably the most important is that they were never fully tested in the first place, and so we actually have no idea of the consequences of having this unknown factor in the food chain. With research that has been done since then, it’s very clear that GMO crops are not the same or even similar to regular food, the claims that Monsanto have made for their products are out-and-out lies. They do not produce a higher yield and actually require much more in the way of pesticides and chemicals.

Once GMO is in an area, it is impossible for farmers who don’t want it to avoid contamination, then Monsanto moves in and takes them to court because they have ‘stolen’ their plants! Monsanto encourages farmers to dob each other in, thus destroying trust amongst the farmers, and endangering the sense of community that has existed before they came along.

Percy Schmeiser.

Percy Schmeiser.

It’s so inspirational to hear Percy Schmeiser speak, he is motivated to fight his battle not only for himself and his children, but for the future of humanity on this planet. If a bio-tech company can put a gene in a life-giving form and then say that they own it, where does this stop, if they put a gene in a human being, do they then own that person? There are some big questions posed in this film, and it could be overwhelming to see the might of Monsanto doing as it pleases, but this is more than balanced by the inspiration you will feel at what people are doing to stand up for our basic rights.

This documentary shows that we can make a difference, let’s face it, most of the people in the world want good quality food on their plates, clean water to drink and clean air to breathe. I feel very hopeful about the future of humanity, we’ve made a terrible mess but we have the resources to do something about it, and we have people like Percy Schmeiser and his wife!

I hope you enjoy this film as much as I did!

Natural Cures Not Medicine: Monsanto: A Documentary on GMO (a must watch)

Save this for later, you won’t regret it. This is a great documentary for humans of all ages.

My Guru, My Guru.

I used to think that Gurus were not such a great idea, it seemed to me that in order to have one you had to give away your power, and I was doing that enough without adding to it! I guess it would have been St Germain that would have been my guru but he was temporary in coming through Azena Ramanda, so I moved on to direct communication after that. Not being attached to a particular form, he brings me messages in many different ways. I thought having a guru on earth might be a bit of a drawback, taking the focus away from self, but after hearing stories of their guru, from Krishna Das and Ram Das, I have a different perspective.

They can be a doorway into that deeper dive into the self, into the quantum field of raw potential, a true guru will not take your power. What you choose to give away is your business, enjoy the stepping up into the limelight as you empower yourself with every step. A true guru will assist you in finding coherence, where the heart and the head and everything else is vibrating at just the right frequency, that of love. You can go there in so many ways, keep exploring doorways, it’s the evolution into a spiritual future, enlightenment.

I am my own guru these days, getting clearer and clearer on that one, developing the shamanic pathways for healing, bodywork, psychic/aura readings, sound healing, holistic counselling, writing/teaching. Lots of fun and inspiration to be had, bit more tech savvy would be good, me learning or help, don’t mind which one. But gurus can connect you to the place in yourself where you ARE LOVE, they can inspire and uplift in all sorts of different ways. Ram Dass is a guru no doubt to many, adepts or addicts, need to get stuck and then eventually be free of method, in the end we are all one in the unified field of consciousness that Rupert Sheldrake talks about, he and Bruce Lipton finally met properly and this is the conversation, its long but well worth it!

In India when we meet and part we often say, ‘Namaste’, which means: I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides; I honor the place in you of love, of light, of truth, of peace. I honor the place within you where if you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us.

~ Ram Dass

Ask And Ye Shall Receive.

Feeling the strength that comes with being in my own power, worrying about the challenges ahead doesn’t really get you anywhere, taking action does! Time to truly get my act together, the final clearing out is almost upon me and I have realised that the letting go that has been such a theme for me, needs to be reflected in my outer world, as well as the inner. I’ve lived with most of my stuff in storage for four and a half years so the idea that I don’t have much is something of an illusion. Granted I don’t have a house full of things to deal with, but it’s still a part of me that is somewhere else, time to consolidate all these disparate parts!

Having to be careful with your budget helps one to be ruthless, why on earth am I hanging on to plates and knives and forks, transporting them thousands of kilometres when they are so incredibly easy to replace! Most of them came from op shops and urban recycling anyway, no precious or valuable china in my collection that’s for sure. I am actually looking forward to sorting and re-packing now, a big shift from the anxiety I’ve been experiencing whenever I thought about what was coming up.

There will be an opportunity with everything being here where I am, to go through copious notes and journals from my years of shamanic studies, what gems of forgotten wisdom will I find? The trick will be to find the time for all this sorting but I rather suspect that you will read many interesting and thought-provoking posts that will emerge out of this process. I saw a psychic not long ago who told me I would be getting my stuff in order and doing a big clearing out, I am very pleased to have her accuracy confirmed as she saw a prosperous and happy life ahead of me. Of course I could have told me that but it’s nice to have it confirmed!

And as always I have the support of a wonderful community here, ask and ye shall receive, love and you will never truly want for anything. And here is a quote from the Bible that pretty much gives us the basic law of manifestation:

Mark 11:24 ESV / 111 helpful votes

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Endings And Beginnings.

My time in this house sit is drawing to a close, this has been the happiest and the darkest of times, here in this fairy cottage surrounded by trees and full of magic. This Princess feels very sad to be leaving, but she knows that she will be taking some of that special magic with her now wherever she goes, what I’ve learned while in this place will never leave me.

Not my fairy cottage exactly but you get the idea!

Not my fairy cottage exactly but you get the idea!

It was here that I took back my power and restored my voice to its proper place, speaking my truth took an enormous amount of courage but has given me a stronger sense of who I am, and what I deserve. I recognised the true character of the Knight, who was definitely wearing armour, but let me tell you it certainly wasn’t shining! It’s a King that I seek as I move forward into the next phase of my becoming, one suitable to sit at the side of a Queen as beautiful and powerful as this Princess is becoming.

Within these wooden walls and peaked roof, I discovered the aspect of me that loves to create food with love, as an act of devotion. Ram Das talks about his guru a lot, and when he asked Neem Karoli Baba how to get enlightened, he was told to serve and to feed people. Offering yourself in service is a very pure form of love, even if you are doing some kind of exchange there is a completely different feeling compared to when you are doing things for money. I went to a Rainbow Festival once where everything was done on the basis of exchange of energy, and it was a wonderful feeling of open heartedness and true connection with other human brothers and sisters.

camelot

More reflections to come as I ponder the experiences I have received here in my little Camelot, like Morgana in that mythical tale I have had travails and challenges upon my path. In my version of that classic story she is not evil and means no harm to Arthur, she is simply trying to keep the pagan magic alive against the onslaught of the Christian religion. My task is to participate in the creation of a new age of magic and wonder, and while it may draw upon the old ways, it is also new forged, and much of it has not been here upon the earth before.

We live in exciting times, I welcome the Golden Age with all my heart and soul, bring it on!
