My Warrior The Wolf.

So balance between the masculine and the feminine, this has come up for me not only with the Full Moon in Aries and the lunar eclipse, but also in my latest holistic counselling session. I am very comfortable with the feminine side of things, not that there isn’t work to be done there as well, but it isn’t anywhere near as challenging for me as being in my masculine. No doubt this has a lot to do with my father’s suicide when I was fifteen, I don’t really totally trust in male energy, particularly my own.

But if you want to make things happen out in the world you need that kind of energy, it’s the masculine in its postive form that provides and protects and creates right action in alignment with the good of all. We need this energy as much as we need the soft, receptive and nurturing feminine, together they provide the perfect balance so that we can come into our wholeness. It’s about being in that balance as individuals and as a society, at the moment we are still very much in the male dominated patriarchy.

In my counselling session I found an ally to help me with my warrior energy, I saw a Red Indian warrior standing tall and upright, he feels very strong and very clear. The sound that came through was like a wolf howling at the moon, another connection to the eclipse and an animal totem to explore, then I also saw an owl and that made me aware of another presence, a shaman. This is a reminder to me that the energy of the warrior also applies to my inner journeying, it isn’t just about what I do out in the world.

The biggest message from my warrior is to be strong and to be myself, don’t over complicate things so much and when a decision has been made then TAKE ACTION! He is also about divine timing so there is the wisdom in knowing when it is the right time to do things, I need to stop dithering but I also need to aim my arrows straight and true at the correct target.

Aho! (Means I have spoken, often said at the end of stating one’s intention for a ceremony).

Fragments Of Self.

The shaman begins to drum and dance calling the power of the universe to her as she puts her egoic self aside and becomes an empty vessel that fills with the help of the spirits.
The client lies quietly in the center breathing deeply to be in a receptive state to receive back his lost soul; his lost vitality.
The shaman sings her journey out loud as she tracks down where the soul has fled. And on finding it returns and blows it deeply into the heart of the client filling the entire body with the light of life.
There is a great joy for all as one heals all are healed. The community is now whole again and can be in peace and harmony.

One of the ways that we deal with trauma in our lives is to leave our bodies, so as not to feel the full impact of the crisis, it’s a survival mechanism that actually works quite well if there’s an understanding of what’s going on. Parts of our soul may leave altogether in that moment, but this is a concept that is not understood or accepted in our current western culture. So instead of doing the healing straight away we end up losing more and more of who we are, the world gradually becomes a duller place and most of the time we don’t even realise that it’s happening.

After years of healing trauma after trauma I began to experience a much sharper appreciation of the world around me, colours, sights, sounds and smells are more vivid than they used to be. It’s like I am returning to the perception of being a child, but bringing to that the knowledge and understanding that I have developed as I’ve moved along my healing path. Whenever one individual becomes more whole, the entire community benefits and this is something that is well understood in indigenous cultures that view the world from a shamanic perspective.

We are all interconnected on so many levels, without a recognition of this basic fact of existence, the current civilisation is likely to become a part of this latest process of extinction that is occurring on the planet at this time. We do need to change and I tend to be the eternal optimist on this subject, if I can create huge fundamental change in myself and my life, then so can everyone else!

Bring it on!

Not So Crazy.

Time for the next installment of the horror movie, starring your favourite heroine, that’s me! I don’t feel quite so funny about putting this experience in writing after a phone call I received from a woman who was referred to me by a client. The timing is pretty extraordinary, just after I have published a post about psychic attacks and the importance of getting the information out into the public domain, I hear a story eerily similar to my own. There are differences, but the essence is the same, she is being attacked by an unseen force which seems to be stronger at night and is very frightened for herself and her son.

This woman was obviously a ‘sensitive’ but had always run away from her visions in the past, finally there was something going on that she couldn’t ignore and I did my best to offer her guidance on what to do. I suggested she visualise a protective barrier around her and her son, and also to ask her guides or higher self to help keep her safe for the night. In an indigenous culture she would probably have been recognised for her gifts and trained to use them for the benefit of the community.

When we ignore the unseen realms and try to pretend that only the tangible world is real, there’s an enormous amount of knowledge that is being more or less thrown away. It’s like saying that the tip of the iceberg is the only thing that is real because that’s the part we can see, of course the bulk of it is below the surface, not unlike the conscious and unconscious parts of ourselves.

It really is time to wake up to the bigger picture, when we acknowledge the whole of life and our experiences how much richer will our world become! That vision is getting closer all the time, for some of us it is already becoming a reality, as more and more people awaken to the truth, as the world becomes a saner and happier place.
