I Am Everything.

There are times when I manage to cruise even when I have a lot to do, it’s the everything always works out every other time, so why shouldn’t it this time frame of mind that I am referring to here. When you surrender to that flow then somehow it all fits in, and if you’ve made the choice not to stress well even better! I am getting clearer and clearer on the ways in which we are always choosing how to respond to whatever might be going on, and there is always a way that involves letting go to what is, acceptance and trust.

I find myself very grounded in red, the red shoes are ushering in a new strength in the base, full of earth, rich tigers eye for the solar plexus and solid jasper for the heart and the throat. Being fully in that heart space, softly in coherence, gently glowing and softening, dropping down, down………..I am the earth and the earth is me.

I still arrive, in order to laugh and to cry.

to fear and to hope.

The rhythm of my heart is the birth and death

of all that is alive.

I am a mayfly metamorphosing

on the surface of the river.

And I am the bird

that swoops down to swallow the mayfly.

From “Please Call Me By My True Names” by Thich Nhat Hanh.

Dragonfly

I am the wind and I am the sunshine, the moon is a part of me as are the tides that her influence controls, my blood flows through me just as water flows through the rivers and creeks. I am everything, and everything is me…………..

You Are The Peace.

The peaked roof and the bell birds are behind me, once again I must needs find the sacred even in the profane and mundane world that I have returned to. Not a very nice thing to say about your mother’s house is it! Actually it’s a perfectly nice house, just feeling the loss of what was the perfect environment for me, more lessons on how to be flexible and adaptable in the ever-moving feast of my life.

I was thinking about sharing another doorway to life’s blissful blessings, and it occurred to me that this is one of those occasions when I ought to be taking my own medicine. So when I’ve finished this post I’m going to meditate, and then perhaps do a bit of writing in my personal journal. Meditation can help us in so many different ways, it’s great for simple relaxation but can also be part of manifesting your dreams, it all depends on how you choose to focus, and your intention.

There are lots of ways to meditate, having a focus for your mind is a very common technique, this can be your breath, an image, a word or a phrase. It’s important to be in a comfortable position with your spine straight, I prefer sitting meditation but everyone is different so find what works best for you. There are lots of meditation cd’s out there too if you find it easier to be guided by someone else, or it may be that playing a particular piece of music will help you to drop into a deep space.

Your busy mind will want to go off on a thousand different paths, don’t be annoyed, after all that’s what minds do, they think. The trick is not to get attached to the thoughts, watch them from a distance or give them wings and watch them fly off into the sunset. And remember, when you are learning something new it takes time and repetition to get better at it, breathe into the frustration and keep at it! Even five minutes a day is worth doing, there is a cumulative effect that will take hold and you will probably find yourself doing more and more of it every day until you reach the point where your day just doesn’t feel right if you haven’t meditated.

That’s the theory anyway, sometimes I meditate a lot, and sometimes not, but one thing I can say for sure, when I meditate I always come away feeling like the world is a brighter place! Thich Nhat Hanh is someone who knows a lot about meditation, to find out more about him check out this interview with Oprah Winfrey: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ9UtuWfs3U

Love This Moment (It’s all you’ve got!)

“Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see.
Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity.
The question is whether or not we are in touch with it.
We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.”

An amazing sense of having my life back envelops me in presence, how we can stray and become lost without even realising that we are no longer fully here, in this moment. How long have I been gone I ask myself, and cannot find an answer. I guess I must have popped back from time to time, even if it was simply to write these posts, a wonderful exercise in being present!

There are moments of drinking in nature’s gifts of green leaves and sunshine and listening to the bell birds that have happened over and over again. I remember this clearly, so perhaps I’m being a little bit hard on myself, memories of preparing food with love and talking to quarrelsome chooks and squeaking guinea pigs. I have been here, but I’ve also been spending too much time in an imaginary future that never ever had foundations, I knew that on some level but I chose to be in denial for a time.

So now I AM HERE!!!!! In this body, in this beautiful part of the world, in a life full of love and connection, stimulation and passion, and good old-fashioned fun! Enough of the misery and tears, letting go of the pain and the anger, and if there is even the tiniest bit of resentment, scraping it out with ruthless intent. My favourite definition of resentment comes from Carrie Fisher, not only Princess Leia from Star Wars, but also a very funny author, she says that “Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.”

Well I’m not going to waste my time waiting for another person to trip themselves up with their own stupidity, they can do that quite well enough on their own. Mmmmmmm………do I note a little bit of anger in that last statement, ok so I’m not perfect, but I’m working on it already! The best way to let go of all of that is to be in my life as fully as I can, and to have fun no matter what I am doing.

LET THE CELEBRATION BEGIN!!!!!!
