I Love You But………………..

Some of you may have read my post on emotional cording a short while back, I would like to give some feedback on that subject which may give you more ideas on the different ways one can navigate through such a process. I was cording with someone and finally reached a point where I had to do something about it, part of me wanted to hold on to the connection but it wasn’t healthy and it had to go!

I had been doing my cord cutting from time to time, but I knew it would always keep coming back, there were times when I cut the cord and could almost feel it beginning to reform straight away. This person was in my energy field a lot and because it was someone I liked it was hard to set a firm boundary, even though I knew it wasn’t really appropriate. By the way this is not an example of someone doing this deliberately, I’m quite sure it was unconscious and maybe one day I will tell them all about it and we’ll have a good laugh.

Just cutting the cords wasn’t going to do the job so I decided it was time to pull out the big guns, I did a trance journey where I connected to my higher self or entelechy. I asked them to help me, they are really a bigger and brighter version of yourself, they know you really well but they are also connected to the unity consciousness so their resources are much bigger. My entelechy did a neurological operation on my brain and all I had to do was relax into nothing, as much as I was able to. After this I no longer had the sense of those cords forming, it felt like something very tangible had been achieved with my process.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s  definition of  entelechy,  “it is inside of you, like the butterfly is inside of the caterpillar   ….. the dynamic purpose that is coded in you.”

You are the acorn, your entelechy is the oak tree!

You are the acorn, your entelechy is the oak tree!

The real test was to be in the presence of that person again which didn’t happen for a while, when it did I was amazed at the difference. The charge that had been there was completely gone, there were still feelings that had always been there but the intense blast from the past was not there at all. It’s making the letting go which I always knew was the right thing, much easier to do, what a relief!

So if you are encountering particularly thorny problems, don’t forget that you have incredible resources inside you that may be able to help you. You need to be able to drop into an altered state of consciousness, so if that is not already on your list of gifts to grow, I suggest you get on to it right now. Jean Houston is a wonderful resource and she sometimes teaches online courses that can help you to learn how to do this. Her website is: www.jeanhouston.org/

Embodied Bliss!

I don’t go to the movies that much, but today I saw a film that was soooooo inspiring! If you don’t like opera then it might not be your cup of tea, but for me it lifted me into higher realms of fullness and joy. I am now enjoying a cup of peppermint tea and listening to a cd from mum’s opera collection and the emotion that is in those amazing voices is taking me to that place all over again.

Music has the potential to shift our frequencies into all kinds of different places, and if you know how to listen with your whole body it can really have a profound and positive effect on how you are feeling. In a retreat based on the work of Jean Houston and Robert Masters, I did a trance journey where we dropped into a very deep state of consciousness and then listened to different types of music,  we were then encouraged to listen with every part of our being. Focusing on listening with your skin is especially delicious, there is so much of it to receive the vibrations!

The same idea can be taken into the world of dance, something that I think I have touched on before. Bringing a fuller body awareness into the movement can take you into deep places as you move from your bones, your organs, or indeed your skin. If this intrigues you then check out the work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen who developed mind-body centering, an embodied approach to movement.

I love the word embodied, for me it conjures up an exquisite sense of connection with every part of your being, body, mind and spirit. And when you come into that kind of full embodiment it sharpens your senses, so that you perceive the world around you in a much more vivid fashion, you see the beauty and the soul of a tree, feel its energy and feel how that connects with your energy field.

On this occasion it was a film that did the trick, if you are interested it is called “Quartet”, the directorial debut of Dustin Hoffman, amazing performances from a stellar cast, Tom Courtenay deserves an Oscar! There are so many ways to find bliss in a body, mmmmmmmm………. what a yummy journey this is on a beautiful planet called Gaia.

Embodied blissings and love, may you follow your flow, and may you travel safely and well wherever you go.

Dream A Little Dream.

I’m thinking about my Beloved again, not sure if those thoughts were what kept me awake for three hours the other night, but sleep was certainly elusive. I would feel myself starting to slip into that relaxed space where everything begins to soften, and thoughts drift gradually away, until, in a moment one can never pin down, you are gone into the realms of sleep.

I don’t often remember my dreams, as a child I would make dreams up to tell the other kids, because I felt left out when they described their wonderful nightly excursions into fantasy. For my first assignment doing my graduate diploma in counselling I used Freudian techniques to explore a fragment I remembered from a nightmare, and it was such a powerful process I was getting physical symptoms as I tried to write. There is no doubt that dreams can help us to try and make sense of our experiences and feelings, but it is only one of the doorways.

I could do things to help me to remember dreams but it has never drawn me very strongly, I would rather meditate or do a trance journey. That does keep coming back to me very strongly indeed, I need to be doing a regular practice along with my yoga, and green smoothies, and all the various things I do to take care of myself.

I think there is a message trying to get through, and so I need to create sacred space within myself, in order to receive the gift of knowledge. And I am fairly sure that it has to do with my Beloved and with my spiritual task, the freeing up of my life force energy that is required for my journey to proceed, the opening of my heart.

I saw myself with my beloved as I lay sleepless, and at one point I got up to write about what that felt like, here it is: We fell into each other’s energy fields like we were coming home to roost, so easy, so comfortable. As if a thousand lives entwined us through the ages, and our souls knew every nuance of every moment, inscribed upon our hearts for evermore.

Oh my Beloved…………………………………
